The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library “The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, located in the heart of La Jolla, California, is one of only 17 nonprofit, membership libraries in the United States. The library, devoted exclusively to music and art, has an outstanding and ever-expanding collection of books, periodicals, reference material, compact discs, videocassettes, CD- ROMs, DVDs, LPs, sheet music, music scores and librettos, as well as one of the most significant collections of artists' books in Southern California. The Athenaeum also sponsors an eclectic, year-round schedule of art exhibitions, concerts (classical, jazz, and new music), lectures, studio art classes through its School of the Arts, tours and special events.”

The Book Arts Web has one of the most extensive set of book arts related links on the Internet and is updated regularly. Good for many hours of productive surfing.

California Center for the Book "The California Center for the Book celebrates California's rich literary heritage and promotes reading, libraries, literacy, and authorship." The site's Resources page focuses on book arts in California.

The Center for Book Arts "The Center for Book Arts is dedicated to preserving the traditional crafts of book-making, as well as exploring and encouraging contemporary interpretations of the book as an art object." The site includes an article by founder Richard Minsky on "Book Arts in the USA," as well as an extensive collection of illustrated online exhibition catalogs.

GalleriaMia "features fine bookbinding and artist's books by Finnish artist Mia Leijonstedt." The work is engaging and beautifully crafted, and the site is elegant.

Miniature Book Society The Miniature Book Society's site is a wealth of information about the world of miniature books.

Microbibliophile, A Bi-Monthly Journal About Miniature Books, Jon Mayo, Publisher. The Microbibliophile is an excellent source of news and reviews of miniature books. Visit Jon's web site to learn more.

Oak Knoll Books sells, publishes and distributes books on books, printing, typography, binding and related fields.

San Diego Book Arts is the spot where you'll find the "best of the best" of events bookish in San Diego, both those sponsored by SDBA as well as those offered by other groups in San Diego.

San Diego Museum of Art The museum's site includes a variety of resources for artists and teachers.

Tuttle Antiquarian Books is located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, with thousands of books in over 100 categories. Their mail-order catalogs feature genealogies, regional Americana (which includes town histories, census and cemetery records, etc.) and miniature books.
