By John Dingman
Portfolio: 8 1/4 by 10 1/8 inches
14 sheets of quotes plus Contents and Preface: 8 by 10 inches
Edition of 150
"My love of books brought about a desire to search out and print a few meaningful quotes about them. This portfolio format provided the opportunity to use various typefaces, layouts, inks and papers. It has also permitted experimenting with many fleurons and ornaments—they undoubtedly will tickle the printer's fancy."
        —The Preface, by John Dingman
John Dingman was a printer's printer and a gentleman. His Posthorn Press was known by many Californian fine printing collectors. He left a rich legacy of printed works as well as the legacy of his vast knowledge shared with any who would ask him a question. Before his death a few years ago, John generously gave part of his excellent collection of type to Iron Bear Press.
Each page, a work of art.
